KARRA Executive Team 2011 - 2012
KARRA Committee Members 2011 - 2012: Ralph Martin (Chair), Rodney Pomfrett, Bruce Cowan, Hugh McLennan, Athol McLachlan, Dennis McAulay, Colin Beddow, Crispin Caldicott, Megan Paterson, Norman McLachlan, Shirley Forde Radford and Keith Robinson.
Sub Committees:
Kaukapakapa Structure Plan: Hugh McLennan (Convenor), Colin Beddow, Ralph Martin, Rodney Pomfrett.
Brief: To progress Structure Plan through to incorporation into District Plan.
River Clearance: Dennis McAulay (Convenor), Athol McLachlan, Hugh McLennan, Ralph Martin.
Brief: To continue efforts to clear river between Bridge across SH 16 and Railway Bridge of obstructions, weed, mangroves etc that may impeded flow of river. To develop and maintain contacts between appropriate Council Staff to further the above objectives.
Local Body Affairs: Bruce Cowan (Convenor) and Ralph Martin.
Brief: To develop and maintain liaison between other Ratepayer Groups; to develop and maintain contacts with appropriate Council Staff; to identify local issues that require KARRA attention and carry out and/or recommend appropriate actions to deal with these issues; to develop strategies for dealing with both the Auckland Council and the local Community Board(s) on local issues affecting Kaukapakapa.
Beautification: Ralph Martin (Convenor), Shirley Forde Radford, Rodney Pomfrett and Keith Robinson.
Brief: to improve the appearance of the village.
Communications (including Publicity and Website): Megan Paterson (Convenor), Rodney Pomfrett and Shirley Forde Radford.
Brief: Supervision of KARRA Website; Liaison with Kaukapakapa Kourier; Publication of material dealing with issues in accordance with KARRA policies; Promotion of KARRA.
Community Service Award: Ralph Martin (Convenor), Norman McLachlan, Hugh McLennan.
Brief: To nominate suitable recipients for the Community Service Award.
